L'article défini THE s'utilise au singulier comme au pluriel :

the bull, the goat, the lamb, the calves

( = le taureau, la chèvre, l'agneau, les veaux )

ON est une préposition, tout comme in, at, near, behind, between,... Une préposition est invariable.

L'adjectif qualificatif est invariable : il ne changera donc ni au féminin ni au pluriel.

I have read a thrilling novel. >>> I often read thrilling novels. 'thrilling' = angoissant, passionnant, palpitant, qui fait frémir

I have bought new clothes : a new coat and new shoes. de nouveaux vêtements, un nouveau manteau, de nouvelles chaussures

De la même manière, le participe passé est invariable.

All these plants were grown in the glasshouse. Toutes ces plantes ont été cultivées dans la serre.

Les adjectifs numéraux sont invariables.
